NORTH – EAST GIRL STUDENTS’ ASSOCIATION (NEGSA) formally came into existence on 28th January, 1998 at 5 pm at the first North East Girl Students Conference held at Handique Girls College. The formation of NEGSA saw the emergence of a powerful girl student’s force which was determined to fight against secessionist and anti- national activities and work wholeheartedly for restoration of peace and harmony, which is vital for the overall development of the country. Aim and Objectives

To unite all girls student of North –East to work for building bridges of friendship and goodwill amongst all sections of the society. To promote a spirit of secularism and national integration, unity in diversity ,pride in Indian ness and induce a sense of communal harmony amongst the youth.

President's message

I take this opportunity to welcome all our viewers to our newly designed website. In the coming year, on 28th January, 2023, our organization will be completing 25 years of its existence. This organization was initially set up with the main objective of working for Peace and Development. In the subsequent years, NEGSA has diversified its activities, focusing on youth development. Entrepreneurship development, livelihood generation, self defence, and a number of important relevant issues . In the coming Silver Jubilee year, commencing on 28th January, 2023, we have drawn up an elaborate plan to undertake wide range of activities for the holistic development of the entire North eastern region , with the prime objective of exploring avenues for livelihood generation of millions unemployed youths and also focusing on national safety and security .
